 Call For Entry    

 from October 1 to JANUARY 7

All entries will be juried before inclusion in Fiber Arts Fiesta. Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd Place. A Viewer’s
Choice ribbon will be awarded the last day of Fiesta.           Open to all

MM101: Mixed Media Textile Art: Original fiber art that could not have been entered in
another AFAF division. The entry must make use of fibrous materials and use at least one
fiber art technique, such as: sewing, stitching, knitting, weaving, or other needle arts. Entries must include other media that is not fiber or textile, such as beads, paint, metal, gourds leather, etc.

MM102: Figurative sculpture: dolls and animals made of cloth. 

 Original designs only.

FF101: Other Original Fine Fiber Art:
Original fiber art that does not meet the Mixed Media category criteria and could not have been entered in another AFAF division.  The entry must make use of fibrous materials and use at least one
fiber art technique, such as: sewing, stitching, knitting, weaving, or other needle arts

MM103: Not Judged: Mixed Media Textile Art made by youth 16 years old or younger as of January 2024      OR  if they do not wish to be judged.

RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF ALL MIXED MEDIA CATEGORIES

1.  Non-wearable original art that does not fit in another craft/art form represented in the AFAF and which emphasizes textile process and textile materials

2. Work must have been completed by entrant after March 1, 2022.  Egnore, but put 2023 on the Cafe Profile submission

3. Please label each piece and all packing materials with your name, address and
the title of the piece. If a stand is required for display, it must be provided and labeled.

4. All entries must be finished and ready to display.

5. The jury in each division and/or the Exhibition Committee reserves the
right to reject an entry if it does not follow the rules of the category or if it
appears to have inappropriate or vulgar subject matter, based upon the
description and photo(s) submitted on the Fiesta Entry Form.

6. Entries may not be removed from display until Fiesta closes. Professional
Security is provided during Fiesta off-hours/overnight.

7. Entry fees are “non-refundab another AFAF division.

  The Call for Entries for the Red + 2 Challenge will be closing on March 1, 2024.
