   According to a member of the Mixed Media Textile Artists of New Mexico, when it comes to making art, the possibilities are endless. She describes cleaning the studio and uncovering long forgotten items such as fabric, beads, metal, yarn, and fiber, any or all of which might spark ideas for the next art project. 

                   For its end of year exhibition “All Mixed Up”, the Placitas Community Library’s Art  committee invited the group to display their mixed media works in the Library’s Gracie Lee Community. The resulting show is a testament to the group’s creativity, revealed through unique pairings of color, imagery, texture, and technique. Expect 2- and 3-dimensional objects as well as wearable art. Thirteen artists presenting 50 pieces of work will be on display.

                                           The public is invited to the artists’ reception for “All Mixed Up”                     on Friday, December 12 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  All works will be available                          for purchase with a percentage of the sale benefiting the library.
