MMTANM meeting minutes February 16, 2023
Meeting was held in NEW location (Heights Community Center, 823
Buena Vista SE). This will be our club’s permanent location for the
foreseeable future.
President Ginger Rice presided over meeting, which included:
-3 new guests attended the meeting.
-Treasury: Larry reported the club has $1,528.05
-Around the Town: Pam gave a report of galleries & shows that might
be of interest.
-Challenges: Patti told us the March challenge is to make something
from an item you picked up at the swap table. Patti announced she will
no longer head the Challenges, and that Adele will be in charge of
Challenges.
-President Ginger announced that the club will need a new Swap Table
coordinator to take left-over items to a charity.
-Education: Sid reported the International Library is looking for
volunteers to do demos in Textile Arts for April, May, & June. Sid also
can take more submissions of artwork for the Sun Port display.
-Fiber Fiesta: Liz Whitehead, head of Fiber Fiesta, attended the meeting
to report the following: Fiber Fiesta 2024 will be in April, & call for
entries will be in Oct 2023. She needs volunteers for the awards
committee.

Demonstration: Sid did an outstanding demo about “Ice Dying”, an
unusual technique in dying fabric using ice!
